Local Restaurants Fueling Thanksgiving in 2022
If you’re considering giving the grocery store lines a break this Thanksgiving season, you should know that local restaurants are ready to help with everything from your main dishes to your sides and delectable desserts. Some restaurants are even offering one-of-a-kind dine-in experiences for your convenience. Although this list of restaurants is not exhaustive, these beloved options located in and around the Heights have garnered rave reviews from diners. If you’re thinking about simplifying your holiday, keep these establishments in mind.
Wild Oats
Patrons have a ton of options when it comes to ordering online at Wild Oats. Order Turkey Roulade or three pounds of Smoked Creole Ham for your main dish, and accompany it with options like Pepper Jack Cornbread Dressing, Mushroom and Green Bean Casserole, Wild Oats Tater Tot Casserole, Turkey Gumbo, and Whipped Potatoes. You can also order gravy and Cranberry Orange Sauce to give your dishes even more flavor. If you think you’ll have room for more food, Wild Oats is also selling 9” pecan pies to go.
Orders can be picked up between 10 AM and 4 PM on Wednesday, November 23rd at 2520 Airline Drive, Suite C-315. The convenience of picking up one day early means that patrons won’t have to worry about rushing around to pick up food just as Turkey Day guests begin to arrive at the door!
Trattoria Sofia
Last-minute planner? Then you’ll be glad to know that as of this writing, Trattoria Sofia still has tables available to dine in on Thanksgiving Day from 11 AM to 9 PM. The prix-fixe menu costs $65 per person and $25 for children under age 11. For your first dish, choose from Pasta e Fagioli or Baby Gem Salad. Next, enjoy Butternut Squash Ravioli made from fresh locally-sourced butternut squash. For your main course, select from a mouthwatering Turkey Dinner spiced with a roasted garlic truffle herb butter and Branzino whole-roasted with fennel and arugula salad. Sides include Italian Sausage & Fennel Stuffing, Cranberry Orange Agrodolce, and Roasted Brussels Sprouts. Top off your Italian-themed Thanksgiving with Panettone Bread Pudding.
Guests can end the holiday meal with some extra sweetness by taking home complimentary pumpkin cookies and hot apple cider. Reserve your table as soon as possible to take advantage of this feast.
Kin Dee

The Smoked Turkey Leg Green Curry is served with flavorful rice noodles or rice, and the Rice Fried Chicken dish is topped with Thai chili sauce and accompanied by steamed rice and chicken soup. The restaurant will serve from its Thanksgiving menu between 11 AM and 10 PM on Thanksgiving Day. Reservations are strongly recommended so you can enjoy this unforgettable meal. Rainbow Lodge
The three course dine-in menu at Rainbow Lodge features a wide variety of tasty choices including a special Thanksgiving menu for kids. The adult menu costs $75 per person and comes with choices of appetizers, entrées, sides, and desserts. Appetizers include selections like The Lodge’s Smoked Duck Gumbo, Taste of the Wild, Petite Crab Cake, and more. Rainbow Lodge is known for its huge variety of wild game, and the entrées definitely highlight the restaurant’s expertise. Choose from a Salt and Pepper Crusted Grilled 44 Farms Beef Tenderloin Filet, Southern Style Roast Turkey, Rainbow Trout with Lump Crab, Grilled New Zealand Venison Bistro Filet, and for vegans, Garlic and Rosemary Hen-of-the-Woods Mushrooms. MAX’s Wine Dive’s Friendsgiving to-go menu offers everything you need to host your holiday hassle-free. Beginning November 17th, customers can place orders online for holiday packages that serve 4-6 people. For $155, patrons receive award-winning jalapeño-marinated fried chicken, Cajun brown gravy, cranberry jalapeño jam, Southern-style biscuits, two family-style sides, and dessert. For an additional $20, diners can also select wine to add to their meal.
If your family has a huge appetite on Thanksgiving or if you enjoy having heaps of leftovers the next day, consider ordering two holiday packages.
B & B Butchers
Let B & B Butchers take care of the cooking this Thanksgiving. The restaurant is offering both dine-in and take-out options for the ultimate convenience. Guests can choose from the entire regular dinner menu as well as from a special prix-fixe holiday menu priced at $90 for adults and $35 for children. The Thanksgiving menu includes an amuse bouche, three courses (including an appetizer, entree, and dessert), and family-style side dishes. Dine-in guests can also enjoy pumpkin cookies and hot apple cider on their way in or out of the restaurant.
Dine-in will take place from 10 AM to 9 PM on Thanksgiving Day. Make sure to reserve your table ahead of time – this is a popular venue!
If patrons prefer to dine at home, they can order online and pick up their meal curbside. The plated feast comes with a mixed green salad, butternut squash soup, roasted turkey, cornbread and sausage stuffing, cranberry sauce, giblet gravy, brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, and slices of pumpkin and apple pie.
