About J.G. Hollins
Johnny Hollins, the owner of J.G. Hollins Builders, has perfected his craft over 25 years in the construction business. He was introduced to the trades by his paternal uncles and loved watching his family build churches, luxury homes, and other structures. After furthering his education in woodworking and metal fabrication in high school, Johnny attended Louisiana State University, joined the United States’ Air Force, and then returned to Houston to work on small renovation projects. Pretty rapidly, his plans became much bigger: He wanted to revitalize the communities he loved by restoring their homes and by building new ones. Quality is the foundation of J.G. Hollins Builders’ business, and Johnny is passionate about providing affordable options that don’t compromise on quality or aesthetics.
In addition to building homes locally, Johnny also teaches the trades to area students through the Home Builders’ Institute (HBI), a non-profit based out of Washington, D.C. The experience always brings Johnny back to his own early days in construction.
